Newborn photography

 Baby George, not yet three weeks old, decided he would quite like to keep an eye on the fun, when I visited his home last Sunday.
We (Mum, Dad, large dog Stan and fluffiest ever cat Rod) kept quiet to let him drop off to the land of nod. We rocked, fed, fed some more, rocked some more, cuddled, fed some more... until eventually he went off. New parents Nina & Steve were keen to get those tiny wrinkly, sleepy newborn shots that I specialise in. Luckily, I'm a dog lover so Stan kept me amused whilst I appreciated the calm and quiet which is a complete contrast to my home with three busy children rocking out.
I simply love these shots in antique black & white and couldn't wait to get them to Nina on her mobile using a personal app designed especially for her to show off her new pictures.
Word is spreading and I'm so pleased to have lots of new enquiries from posting these gorgeous photographs on my Facebook page 'Violet And Green Photography'.

Wedding advice 001

It may be cold outside but it's heating up in here with wedding enquiries. I love this time of year and the following months getting to know newly engaged couples whilst they prepare for their forthcoming nuptuals. We always have a few early birds but most bookings come in from January to March.

Tips for those who don't yet have big ticks on your 'To Do' list;

Seek and yee shall find...
Seek out as many choices as you feel necessary so it's easy to narrow down your clear front runners.
Don't be afraid to use different methods in your search. Consider local recommendations, Blogs such as Love My Dress / RocknRollWedding / http://knotsandkisses.blogspot.com/,  web searches and website viewings can be fun and something you can do together, network using online social sites... ask your friends and find out who they rave about, other vendor recommendations, to name but a few!

More tips tomorrow ...
